Hurts like heaven, day 23
12.30.2011 Again, 2 miles at 9 something pace, followed by 50 pushups and 50 v-ups. Standard lazy-me workout. But the pushups get to me. And I did do it after a full meal and with a blazing fire. And I wasn’t feeling too great today. The fact that I did anything was just me being mad at myself. Punishment enough I guess. This whole break has been punishment enough. Well not enough. But I...
Hurts like heaven, day 22
12.29.2011 Ran 2 miles at 9 something pace. When I run, I typically don’t care about my speed. At times I push myself just to punish myself, like lately. But today, I didn’t for whatever reason. But I went faster than normal - I usually do 10 minute pace. I’ll try and pick that up to 9whatever, whatever I did today. After the 2 miles, I did 50 pushups and 50 v-ups. I really hate...
Hurts like heaven, day 21
12.28.2011 Haven’t been updating. Wednesday, day at the gym. Did a lot of cardio/body weight stuff at first - t pushups and then something else, i forget. then we moved to curls and presses with the bar, no weight. then i kind of forget - i know there was something with the ab wheel-thing. whatever. it was good enough.

chrisharold-deactivated20120210 asked: Would that free market planning also work with other leagues like the NHL? We could have moved the oilers to an NHL developing league, rather than praise them for their failures as of last year. They would have been developing this year, rather than their owner demanding money for a new arena. Just my thought.
Hurts like heaven, day 20
12.27.2011 Lazy day. Stupid. Did stuff before I went to bed. Arms shaking, but still. Stupid. I should have run and run hard. Stupid. Days like today are exactly when I should run and exactly when I don’t. I don’t need or deserve a break. But it’s ok, I paid for it. All I did all day was think about stuff so whatever you paid for it idiot. At least when you run it takes longer...

I love reading things written by smart people. Especially when such things are about sports. I have always been given the distinct impression that sports are not important. That they were just games after all, and no self-respecting, intelligent person would waste serious thought, effort, or time on a “game.” I have always hated that attitude. I always felt like I was being told that I...

At the Colts first win of the season vs the Titans 2 weeks ago, I saw one of the greatest halftime shows ever. Below is a picture-perfect play by play and analysis of what made it so special. Enjoy. royhobbson: After the Colts’ lackluster first half against the Titans, “Blue” emerged from whatever squalor-soaked storage unit/meth den he’d been living in & cutting himself in since October....
Did Americans in 1776 have British accents?
Reading David McCullough’s 1776, I found myself wondering: Did Americans in 1776 have British accents? If so, when did American accents diverge from British accents? The answer surprised me. Read More via nicholasjohnpatrick | witsandtits

It’s like seeing an old friend. I miss that show so much. I wish I could go back and watch it all over again. I miss that summer.
Hurts like heaven, day 19
12.26.2011 Squats - 3x8 at 155 pounds. Bench press - 155 pounds, 6x, 5x, 4x, 3x, 2x, 1x. Both of those, 155 pounds, are more than my body weight. Then I did 3x10 pullups with the small band (don’t know what it weighs, but it’s the small one), and then I did some tricep extensions and shoulder press, each one arm at a time, 3x6. Then some abs. Done. My arms are still shaking, but...
Hurts like heaven, day 18
12.25.2011 I’m going to be nice to myself today. I was going to run 2 miles, but I’ve been generally good. I’ve done something every day. It’s not as hard as I would have liked. But considering I’ve been away from home, or had people over, and I’ve still done something, and it’s more than walking, and always hurts for at least a small amount of time, I...
Yes. Stuff. Christmas is like home. It’s only real, it only happens, if you’re with the people who make it Christmas. It doesn’t matter where you are. You can be thousands of miles away from your house and still be at home, as long as you’re with the person or people who make it “home.” Same for Christmas. You can have Christmas anywhere, and it has nothing to...
Merry Christmas, you. Merry Christmas, beautiful. All I want for Christmas is you. Really. I’d settle for a call, or a text, or anything. I know that won’t happen. And it doesn’t feel like xmas at all. You would respond if I said something, maybe. But I know you won’t initiate it. Not on xmas. Maybe on my bday. I’m really hoping for that, but not with too high of...

Hurts like heaven, day 16
12.23.2011 45 minute run. Longest in a while. That will be ok. I guess. This break is going to suck. I’m worried about stuff. Hope it doesn’t happen. I’ll have to run a lot to not think about it.
Hurts like heaven, day 15
12.22.2011 A friend was over and I was not very disciplined. I just did pushups before bed. Bad. I maxed out twice. I did 100 as fast as possible, basically. I didn’t time myself, but it was 50x, 35x, then 20x. So 105. Ouch. But still, bad. I have to do better tomorrow. (Again this is delayed, so I mean I have to do better today).
Hurts like heaven, day 14
12.21.2011 This is a few days delayed. Crazy workout at the gym. Rope, this weird burpee-like thing with kettlebells that was awesome, and a modified bear complex. Bear complex is something I’ve done before, and it killed me. You use the bar (45 lbs.) and do x amount of reps of each exercise, all in a row for one set. Front squat, (I don’t know what to call it so...
