Indianapolis - Super City
I am so proud of my city right now. Indianapolis puts on big time sporting events like no other city. Keep them coming, we’ll keep knocking them out of the park

Peyton Manning
Reading some of this news makes me sick to my stomach. I have no idea what is going to happen but for the first time since his surgery, the bad news seems to have substance and credibility. Regardless of what happens, I’ll never forget the people out there who assumed the worst case scenario from the beginning. I do not understand giving up on someone that easily, especially someone like...

Lost
Restarting Lost. I never did get around to writing my post-Lost summary/story/tribute/essay or whatever, about how great the show was, what it was about, and what it meant to me. But it is very fitting to re-watch a show that meant to much to me and represents my life and taught me so much now that I’ve sort of started a new chapter in my life. Yeah, moving into an apartment being seen as...

US Open
I’ve been MIA for several days… I’ve been in NYC working our first indoor event of the season, the US Open. Hanging out at Madison Square Garden all day, not too awful. It was awesome, as usual, and I’ll post some photos later. But, in the meantime, tune in to ESPN2 tonight from 7:00 - 9:00 PM ET to watch the broadcast. You might see someone you know several times haha

You have no idea how hard it is to stop at that. Not to add anything else. To keep it just, just jobs or whatever. To not once raise a finger to defend myself or talk myself up. Or ask how you are. Or to make any, and I mean any, small talk. It’s very, very hard. And it’s noticeable that I don’t do that. I hope that the fact that I am putting effort into this, and not saying...

Removing stupid people from your life is important. The trick is doing it in a way that they can’t possibly find out. Today, I figured out how, for two of them. A while ago, I got rid of a very stupid person here, on Tumblr. I felt so much better afterwards. I bet this has the same effect, but maybe even more, as it’s not on Tumblr. I won’t name where, but ahhh I feel better...

Music finds
The best part about staying up late and writing, then doing random chores with the internet on is the new music you find. You’re in a different state of mind than you are at any other time. At least for me, I’m much more receptive and open to new songs/artists/albums. And when you’re in that state of mind, the new music you find seems to attach itself to whatever your doing or...

Primer: A Guy's Post-College Guide to Growing Up →
I forget where/how I found this site, but I like it a lot. I used to go to “The Art of Manliness” a fair amount but personally, that’s so far over the top and lame, makes me gag a lot with it’s eliteness (sorry, that really is how I feel - I mean just relax a little) and just not my thing at all. At the same time, I’m not a big fan of GQ on one end, hipster-wear on...

It really doesn’t get easier. You get used to it, that’s true. But it’s not easier. It still hurts, a lot. I miss you every single day. Just talking to you. You know, I knew we talked about nothing but jobs, and for neither of us, but seriously just the fact that you even thought to ask me was nice. And thanked me and really seemed to appreciate it. Something that simple and that...

No matter how crazy your last road trip was, it wasn’t as awesome as their’s. When Lakpa Tsheri Sherpa first saw paragliders arrive in the Himalaya, he dreamed of...

Hurts like heaven, day whatever
I know I haven’t done a very good job of posting these. But I have done them every single day. Not as well as I had hoped - many off days from my gym schedule end up just being pushups and v-ups and wall sits. I’m not happy with that. But it still is something, I still do enough that it gets to me, so it counts. And I’ve done it every single day. So, whatever.

Personal read/entry below. You can read if you want, I really don’t care. So, she emailed me today. About a few questions about a job for her sister. She started off by stating that she knew she was the last person I wanted to hear from. And ended with trying to touch on, whatever, nonsense stuff we have in common that was small talk. Whatever. First, I can’t believe she emailed me....

My rant on sports, and how to more deeply...
To follow up my last post, about a conversation that I wanted to start (or rather continue) but didn’t - It’s also why I hate facebook. And the casual sports fan. People who care little for sports, or only use it as pure entertainment, just want to trash talk. They care little how you feel or what you think or what context things are said in or happen. Because, when it comes to...

Why I hate bitter people
Person: dont count your chickens there neale
Me (what I wanted to say, but didn't): did i ever say we were going to win? did you see the play i was referring to? did i, in fact, number any poultry? no. and i never said anything about your game and haven't all year, so maybe don't try and comment on a game just to get a rise out of me. you don't know why i wanted this game more than others, so just don't.

New project
I wanted to update you all (all, like, 20 of you… ok it’s more than that but yeah haha) on a new project I started working on this weekend. Without going into details of why or when, I’m making a new site focusing on food found through any and all means in the central Indiana//Indianapolis area. This means restaurants, diners, shacks, food trucks, roadside stands, and also...

Army researchers discover cancer vaccine that cuts...
thedailyfeed: It’s a big win in the war on cancer — Army researchers say they’ve developed a vaccine that slashes the recurrence rates of breast cancer and could prevent cancers of the colon, prostate and lung.  The drug is called E-75 and it works by training the body’s immune system to recognize a protein present on the surface of many cancer cells, and then destroy those cells.
