I really, really love Love is a Four Letter Word
Jason Mraz’s new album is awesome. I didn’t get all the way through it yet, but I can tell it’s going to be a favorite of mine. Which is funny, because it comes in a distant second to Blunderbuss (Jack White better win Record of the Year. It’s that good).
So many of Mraz’s new songs really get at me. Whole songs, one or two lines from songs, the feeling I get from...
Why Shakira Is So Underrated →
awellroundedmind:
One One // One Band is a great resource for music: finding bands, learning about them, and the issues they touch on or bring up. I thought this last post about Shakira was especially good. I find the issue of sexuality, and its impact on Shakira’s “street cred,” particularly interesting. Check it out.
Shakira is also often dismissed because of her image and how she chooses to...
So, that wasn’t Independence Hall in the photos I have been posting. Lame. This is what happens when I don’t have time to look things up myself - I look dumb. Oh well. City Hall is still amazing.

Treadmill faceplant
Today, some of the best athletes in the world competed in the Boston Marathon. They ran 26.2 miles in 80 degree heat. I, on the other hand, ran exactly 0.16 miles before tripping, falling, and faceplanting on a treadmill. To my credit, I did finish my 3 mile run after cleaning myself up a bit. But still, wow, was that embarrassing. And hilarious.
:-)
I shouldn’t do that. Oh well.
