Army researchers discover cancer vaccine that cuts recurrence rates

It’s a big win in the war on cancer — Army researchers say they’ve developed a vaccine that slashes the recurrence rates of breast cancer and could prevent cancers of the colon, prostate and lung. 

The drug is called E-75 and it works by training the body’s immune system to recognize a protein present on the surface of many cancer cells, and then destroy those cells.
